“A.R.K. has been such a blessing for the families of our pediatric cancer patients. We have so many parents with children who have cancer that are single parents or are families of less means who really struggle financially when their child is diagnosed. Coping with the emotional toll of this diagnosis is hard enough on our families on top of struggling to ensure they have a place to live, keeping the lights on, keeping food on the table, as well as ensuring their child gets the care that they desperately need. Our families drive often from over an hour away to our treatment center 2-3 times a week. Other times their child may be hospitalized for weeks or months making it nearly impossible to work and make money to pay their bills. Recently I’ve had parents lose their jobs due to inability to work while their child was ill. A.R.K. has been able to step in and provide a lifeline to many of these families to help relieve some of the burden and stress and allow parents to focus on getting their ill child the treatment they need. I have so much gratitude for A.R.K.’s dedication to helping so many during such a dark time in their lives. Thank you A.R.K!
